Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Subquery API ("Service"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

Subquery provides a free, public API that aggregates pricing, specifications, and capability data for AI models across providers. The data is synced from official sources on an hourly basis. No account or API key is required.

3. Data Accuracy

Model data is sourced from official provider APIs and documentation. While we strive for accuracy, we make no guarantees that pricing, context windows, or capability information is current or correct. You are responsible for verifying critical data before making business decisions.

4. Acceptable Use

You may use the Service to:

• Query model data for your applications, tools, and internal systems
• Build products and services that consume our API
• Display model data in your own interfaces
• Use model data for cost calculations, routing decisions, and billing

5. Prohibited Use — Resale and Redistribution

You may not use the Service to:

• Resell our data: You may not scrape, bulk-export, or systematically collect data from the API to create a competing dataset or service for sale
• Paywall our data: You may not place Subquery data behind a paywall, subscription, or access gate as a primary product offering
• Rebrand and redistribute: You may not present bulk Subquery data as your own proprietary dataset
• Build a competing API: You may not use our data to power a substantially similar model pricing/data API

For clarity: using our data within your product (cost calculators, model selectors, billing dashboards, developer tools) is encouraged. Reselling the data itself is not.

6. Rate Limits

The API is subject to reasonable rate limits to ensure availability for all users. Excessive automated requests that degrade service for others may be throttled or blocked.

7. No Warranty

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uptime, data accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose. The Service may be modified or discontinued at any time.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Subquery shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to damages arising from incorrect pricing data, service interruptions, or data loss.

9. Intellectual Property

The Subquery API, its design, documentation, and infrastructure are owned by Subquery. The underlying model data is sourced from respective providers and subject to their own terms. You retain ownership of everything you build using our API.

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to block access to the Service for any user or IP address that violates these terms, particularly the prohibited use provisions in Section 5.
